CVBCA WIG PROGRAM WITH DIVERSITY SALON

CVBCA is able to provide a full circle wig program in collaboration with Diversity Salon by having the ability to accept donated wigs which can be washed and restored (if needed) and maintained. Wigs are then displayed in a room dedicated to donated wigs only.

• When a member of our community reaches the point in their sequence of care where hair loss may become an issue they will then be referred to Christine (Chris) Hershey of Diversity Salon. A post card will be provided with Diversity Salon contact information. 

• An appointment can then be made with Diversity salon where Chris aims to make you feel welcome as you embrace your new journey with as relaxing as an experience as possible. In their privacy room Chris can provide hair loss support and wig consulting for shape, size and color and cut. This private room is large enough for family members to be part of this journey if the patient wishes. Appointments must be made to use this service. Walk ins are not permitted for this type of service.

• Should you not require the donation of a wig. Diversity can provide the same services for a selection of new wigs as well. Don’t see something you like….no problem….Chris can order from a variety of suppliers based on your want and need. Diversity offers synthetic, blend and natural wigs.

• Once treatment is complete and a wig is not longer needed wigs can then be donated back into this program and the process will then be full circle. ANY cancer patient can take advantage of this service. 

• Often times with hair loss, patients lose eyebrows and lashes as well. Diversity can provide additional services pertaining to lashes and brows. Call for more information.

• Diversity Salon does not work with insurance. However, should you be able to submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement for your purchased wig then Diversity can provide a receipt.
