And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

    CVBCA SURVIVOR DINNER

    PINK RIBBON DINNER

The CVBCA hosts a Pink Ribbon Dinner for Breast Cancer Survivors (only) in the Franklin, Fulton, Cumberland Counties and surrounding areas.  Each year, beginning in 1997, the evening is a special time for our local survivors who take this opportunity to celebrate together. We have survivors who celebrate 35 plus years as well as ladies who have been recently diagnosed.

King Street Church graciously offers us the use of their Baker Center and the use of the kitchen and sound system. Each year the CVBCA Board chooses a theme for the evening and the splendid decorations adorn the hall to honor the attendees. Past themes have included Christmas in October, An All American Picnic, Football, Mardi Gras, Princess Party, Hearts of Love, A Pajama Party, this year: Let's Flamingle. For the past several years our cooks have been “angels” from the Greenwood Hills Bible Camp with assistance from the chefs/owners of Giacomo's in Fayetteville have donated their time and talents to create gourmet meals and desserts for the enjoyment of our guests. In 2022, our Greenwood Hills Bible Camp chef retired. Giacomo's donated bread to accompany the meal provided by Long's Catering. Country Creamery as well as Art of Pie provided an excellent end to the evening with their sweet treats.

Along with the talented cooks we are always blessed by an array of volunteers who come to welcome, serve, and clean up! These volunteers often include local youth from area churches and friends, co-workers, and spouses of CVBCA Board Members. Along with the wonderful food, there is always special entertainment provided for the guests. The entertainment has included musical groups, soloists, guest speakers and magicians. Along with great food and entertainment, some lucky guests get to go home with a door prize. Door prizes are donated by friends and supporters of the CVBCA. Our guests leave with a happy heart, a full stomach, and for some, a surprise door prize!

The evening is free for invited guests (breast cancer survivors). If you are a survivor and would like to attend the dinner please call Samantha Logsdon 717-263-7191 or email her at cvbca@comcast.net.

    Tuesday, June 6, 2023.

In 2019, we decided to honor our Pink Warriors in May. Due to Covid we moved it to June in 2022! We are sticking to the first Tuesday in June for 2023. The evening is free and open to invited guests (breast cancer survivors - family members are not able to attend). If you are a breast cancer survivor or know any breast cancer survivors who would like to attend, please let us know.
