Please join Sharon Brosious and the Cumberland Valley Breast Care Alliance in welcoming new President, Samantha Logsdon. Samantha is a resident of Mercersburg, Pa where she lives with her husband of 18 years, Michael Logsdon, and 4 children, Shanda, Shay, Evan and Ethan. She is very active in her community. Her most recent project was a collaboration with friends, Lisa Minton of Sweet Dandelion and Melissa Langford of The Sunflower Shoppe, where they provided community sponsored boxes they called “Uplift boxes” to breast cancer patients in 2021. The boxes were filled with small local artisan items that were meant to “uplift” the spirit of those who have been affected by cancer. They hope to continue that project into 2022 but this year focus on providing for children experiencing pediatric cancers.
A graduate of James Buchanan High school Class of 1995 and Franklin County Area Vocational and Technical School Practical Nursing Program Class of 1996 . After a few years in nursing Samantha found herself loving family medicine and at home at Cumberland Valley Family Physicians as the nurse of Dr. Douglas Martzluf. It’s at this office where Sam and Sharon became fast friends and have remained so over the past 20 plus years.
The CVBCA hopes to add several new assets to its program under the new direction including a wig program and new social media platforms. You can meet Samantha and the board members at a Meet and Greet Open House scheduled for Friday, April 1, 2022 from 4pm-7pm at the Franklin County 11/30 Visitors Center in Downtown Chambersburg, Light refreshments and snacks will be provided.
